Uber has made a takeover offer to buy Postmates, according to people familiar with the matter, as the food delivery market consolidates and Uber tries to compensate for the collapse of its ride-hailing business https://t.co/j767jebZrj

@nytimes June and Uber and Postmates are still under violation of CA AB5. I delivered for Uber Eats for two years on an electric bike. The level of reckless ineptitude and sadistic idiocy from this company made me keep a detailed log of their abuses. My day is coming. Soon.

@nytimes Are there any advantages for drivers to be considered independent contractors rather than employees? Legit curious.

@boydoilooklike @nytimes @Uber @Postmates LOL! Not. But that’s how a boycott works. Each individual makes a decision and let’s the company know. If enough people do it, they listen. No matter the effect, I need to do what’s right for me.

@nytimes I don’t know much about large business, but this seems like a smart move on Uber’s part

@nytimes Annoying NYT pay-wall, but I get the idea. If their ride-hailing business collapsed why would they be any good at food delivery?
